Multi-platinum country music artist Sara Evans saluted veterans and active duty service members with a patriotic performance in Emporia Thursday evening.
Evans was the featured performer for the 2021 All Veterans Tribute Concert at the Granada Theatre. Evans rose to fame after her debut album Three Chords and The Truth gained critical praise back in 1997.
Since that time Evans has recorded eight studio albums, charted more than 20 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Song Charts and has been nominated for more than a dozen CMA awards over her career.
Evans’ performance followed the annual Veterans Day parade in downtown Emporia and memorial service at the All Veterans Memorial Thursday morning. All Veterans Tribute activities officially conclude Sunday with the Quilts of Gratitude ceremony at 2 pm inside the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building.
