After a significant drop Monday, active coronavirus cases in Lyon County saw a significant uptick Wednesday.
Lyon County Public Health reported 47 new cases pushing the overall total to 5,809 since late last March. 24 recoveries were also reported with the active total increasing from 110 Monday to 133 Wednesday.
The increase follows a drop in active cases from 157 to 110 between Friday and Monday. Of the 133 active cases, 24 are considered breakthroughs meaning infections in fully vaccinated residents.
Deaths were unchanged at 92 with one case still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Active hospitalizations were also unchanged at four.
