The Emporia State soccer team hosts Northwest Missouri State in the first round of the NCAA Division II tournament Friday.
This will be the 3rd meeting between Emporia State and Northwest Missouri State. The Lady Hornets won the first 2 matches, 4-1 during the regular season and 2-0 in the MIAA Tournament.
Coach Bryan Sailer says they will not take Northwest lightly and will need to play with confidence.
Senior Ashlyn Lakin says they have been focused in practices.
The kickoff is set for 1 pm on the ESU soccer pitch.
The first match Friday has Central Oklahoma playing Bemidji State. That match kicks off at 10 am.
The two winners will play Sunday at 2 pm.
