The Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building will be filled with a wide selection of unique auction items Saturday courtesy of Messiah Lutheran Church.
The church’s annual Harvest Home Festival is taking over the Anderson Building beginning at 8 am. In addition to the annual auction, the church is also adding a new 5K to the list of activities.
The 5K will launch at 8:30 am and costs $30 to participate. A biscuits and gravy breakfast will also be served beginning at 8:30 am with a community dinner feed set to run from 10:30 am to 2 pm.
Longtime organizer Greg Larson says it is amazing to see how much the event has grown since it began more than two decades ago.
The annual auction is set to begin at 9:30 am and you can find a list of auction items on the Messiah Lutheran Church Facebook page. A portion of all proceeds will go to support the Humane Society of the Flint Hills, Charis Place and Habitat for Humanity.
