The Emporia State men won their home opener Saturday, outscoring William Jewell 78-71.
The Hornets used a 10-4 run to close out the game that featured 8 lead changes and 7 ties.
Emporia State Coach Craig Doty picked up his 200th career win.
Jumah’Ri Turner led Emporia State scoring a game-high 27 points.
Tray Buchanan added 19 points.
With the win, the Emporia State men improved to 3-1 for the season.
They are scheduled to host Tabor Wednesday afternoon.
