For a time Tuesday afternoon, Emporia Police were looking for the parents of a young child found on the south side of downtown Emporia.
The child was found in the 100 block of Mechanic. The parents were found after a social media call and reunited with the youngster.
Police Capt. Ray Mattas says the situation unfolded after an unspecified medical situation with the child’s daycare provider. Further details are pending.
