Two suspects in the Jesus Avila murder case have hearings in Lyon County District Court on Wednesday.
Both Jordy Cornejo-Campoverde and Armando Nunez are set for motions hearings at 9 am before Judge Jeff Larson.
Cornejo-Campoverde is accused of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and other charges in Avila’s death, while Nunez faces charges of arson, aggravated battery and interference with law enforcement. Avila’s body was found in a burned-out car near Emporia in September 2017.
