Tray Buchanan scored a career-high 40 points to lead the Emporia State men’s basketball team to a 91-51 win over Graceland in their final non-conference game.
The Hornets scored the game’s first 8 points and never trailed.
They led 47-20 at halftime and would lead by as many as 41 points in the 2nd half.
Emporia State Coach Craig Doty was encouraged by the play.
Jumah’Ri Turner added 13 points, Brooks Haddock added 11 points and Mayuom Buom finished with 10 points.
With the win, the Hornets are now 5-1. They will open MIAA play Thursday hosting Nebraska Kearney.
