The fruits of 25 different community organizations’ labor over the past month will be revealed during a special presentation Tuesday morning.
The annual Emporia Community Foundation Match Day Check Presentation will be returning to Flint Hills Mall. During this time, the participating organizations will receive their portions of the donated funds collected throughout Match Day which took place on Nov. 15.
ECF Director Becky Nurnberg says the presentation is her favorite part of the entire Match Day process.
The presentation will take place at 11 am outside of the movie theatre in the mall. Nurnberg could not reveal the final total, however, she says several of the participating groups hit “individual fundraising records” this year.
Last year’s Match Day fundraiser raised more than $322,000. The check presentation will be broadcast live on KVOE 1400 am and 96.9 fm and on KVOE TV at KVOE.com.
