The Emporia State womens basketball team is receiving votes in this weeks national coaches poll.
They would be ranked 26th. They will play two ranked teams this week.
Fort Hays State is ranked number 1. Emporia State will play Fort Hays Saturday.
Nebraska Kearney is ranked 21st. Emporia State plays Kearney Thursday night.
Central Missouri is the other ranked MIAA team. The Jennies are ranked 25th.
Emporia State Coach Toby Wynn says with all the players taking advantage of the Covid year this season the MIAA will be even more challenging.
Thursday’s game with Nebraska Kearney tips off at 5:30 pm.
Saturday’s game with Fort Hays State will tip off at 1:30 pm.
