Apparently minor injuries are the story after two vehicles collided in north Emporia on Wednesday.
A minivan and SUV collided on Merchant Street at the Interstate 35 junction shortly before 9 am. The number of injured patients has not been announced. With the crash near the Interstate 35 southbound onramp, southbound access to the Interstate has been blocked through the medical research and early crash investigation.
Emporia Fire did not take anybody to hospitals afterward.
Other crash details are currently pending, with the Kansas Highway Patrol apparently leading the investigation. We’ll have updates as warranted on KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media.
