Unbound Gravel isn’t until early June, but residents wanting to get into one of the races can apply now.
It’s not for the faint of heart. The Unbound XL — the 350-mile behemoth that starts a day ahead of the other signature races — has its lottery underway now through Dec. 15. People wanting to get into the other Unbound races — the 200-, 100-, 50- and 25-mile lengths — can enter another lottery from Jan. 5-18.
Unbound Associate Marketing Manager Michelle Duffy expects a strong turnout for the entire slate of rides and races.
Lottery information and links are online at www.unboundgravel.com.
The lotteries come as Life Time, Unbound’s parent company, is also seeking applications for its new Life Time Grand Prix, a collection of six rides including Unbound that has 40 of the world’s top riders competing for a $250,000 prize purse. Applicants will be chosen for the Grand Prix based on race resume, past race performances, interest in the Grand Prix and information on how riders are growing the sport of cycling. Applications are online at www.lifetimegrandprix.com.
