The Emporia State basketball teams begin MIAA play Thursday night, hosting Nebraska Kearney.
The Lady Hornets will be playing the 21st ranked Lopers. Sophomore Tre’Zure Jobe says the defense will be a key to winning this game.
Lady Hornet Coach Toby Wynn says they will need Tre’Zure to have a big game and help from several other players.
Emporia State men’s Coach Craig Doty will be using this game as a measuring stick.
Freshman Peyton Rogers-Schmidt says it has been a good start for him and the team and is looking forward to MIAA play.
Tipoff for the women’s game is set for 5:30 pm. followed by the men’s game at 7:30 pm.
Both games will be broadcast on MIX 104.9. Coverage begins at 5:05 pm.
