One person was transported to Newman Regional Health following a rollover accident in northeast Emporia Sunday evening.
Emporia Police and EMS were called to 736 East 12th shortly after 8 pm for a reported injury accident, however, the actual accident occurred in the trailer park located at 1302 East Street. According to the initial investigation, an SUV was exiting the trailer park when it struck a large rock on the property and rolled onto its top.
When authorities arrived on scene, the driver was not with the vehicle and was later located in the parking lot of the Courtyard Apartments complex adjacent to the trailer park. The individual was taken to Newman with undisclosed injuries.
