Pretrial hearings for two of the six defendants in the Jesus Avila murder case have been pushed.
Hearings for Andrew Granado and Jovan Pecina, originally set for Friday afternoon, will now take place at 2 pm Jan. 21.
Hearings are coming up next month for other defendants in the case. Jan. 13 is the date for pretrial and arraignment hearings involving Jordy Cornejo-Campoverde and Armando Nunez. Alan Alanis has a motions hearing Jan. 24 as part of a prosecution effort to certify him as an adult.
Samuel Garcia, the most recently charged defendant in the case, has a motions hearing Feb. 22 as prosecutors work to certify him as an adult in the case.
