The Emporia High basketball teams will be hosting Topeka High in their final home games before the Christmas break begins.
The girls’ game will feature 2 ranked teams. The Lady Spartans last week were ranked 8th in 5A and Topeka High was ranked 8th in 6A.
Senior Rylee Peak says they are looking forward to the match-up.
Emporia High girls Coach Carolyn Dorsey says they will need to contain Topeka Highs guards.
Both the Emporia High and Topeka High boys teams are searching for their first win.

Game times at Emporia High are 6 pm for the girls and 7:30 for the boys. Both games will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM and streamed online at kvoe.com
The Topeka High boys are coached by former Emporia High and Emporia State standout Ty Baumgardner. One of his assistants is his dad, Jerry Baumgardner. Jerry is a former coach and Principal at Emporia High. The gym at Emporia High is also named after Jerry Baumgardner.
