(k-state) Kansas State sophomore running back Deuce Vaughn has been named a First Team All-American by the Associated Press as an all-purpose player, he is the first Wildcat to be named a first-teamer by the AP since Jordy Nelson in 2007.
Vaughn is ranked fifth in the nation in scrimmage yards per game, 144 yards, as he is one of only two players with 1,000 rushing yards and 400 receiving yards this season. He has totaled 1,258 rushing yards and 471 receiving yards as he is closing in on becoming just the fourth player in Big 12 history and third nationally in the last five years with 1,000 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in the same season.
Kansas State will play LSU in the TaxAct Texas Bowl on January 4th.
