Purchases, bids, grants and appointments are all items set to come before the Emporia City Commission during their regular action session Wednesday evening.
Commissioners will consider accepting a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency under the pre-disaster mitigation grant program. The commission previously tabled this item during its Dec. 1 action meeting.
The Commission will also consider approving a contract with KLM Engineering for design and construction services of the city’s elevated water storage tank at 12th Ave.
Commissioners are also set to potentially award two bids for separate city projects, one for the construction of a water line at Sixth Ave. and the other for paving improvements at Funston Street and 5th Ave. Equipment purchases for the Public Works Department, a resolution for an official boundary list and an appointment of a member to the Emporia Public Library Board will also see consideration.
The meeting begins at 7 pm inside the Municipal Courtroom at White Auditorium.
