While the calendar year is winding down, fundraising efforts are continuing to ramp up for the United Way of the Flint Hills annual campaign.
During a recent interview on KVOE’s Newsmaker Two segment United Way Chief Executive Officer Mickey Edwards announced that while they do not have an exact dollar amount, the campaign is roughly a third of the way to its $475,000 goal.
While many workplace campaigns are winding down, campaign drive chair Mike Argabright says others are just heating up at this time. Additionally, Argabright reports that new donation avenues, such as the recently announced partnership with Emporia Livestock Sales, are already bearing fruit.
Edwards reminds all residents that any donations made to the campaign are tax-deductible. For more information or to donate to the campaign, visit Unitedwayoftheflinthills.org or call the United Way at 620-342-7564.
