Another earthquake in the greater Salina area caused a report of shaking near Emporia.
A magnitude 4.0 quake developed near Gypsum, some 90 miles northwest of Emporia, shortly before 4 am Wednesday. So far, there is one report of weak shaking in Emporia and another in Burlington.
Damage reports are pending. There are currently no reports of injuries.
The Gypsum area has had over 30 earthquakes since Dec. 7. The strongest was a magnitude 4.3 quake felt across the KVOE listening area and as far away as Nebraska, Missouri and Oklahoma.
