Lyon County commissioners have several items of business worth noting as they have their action meeting Thursday.
Commissioners will consider signing an agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation to fund a bridge replacement near Roads 210 and J. This is part of KDOT’s federal-aid Off-System Bridge program.
Commissioners will also get a status report on Ignite Emporia’s work from Executive Director Rob Gilligan before considering whether to appropriate $20,000 for the agency’s ongoing work.
Commissioners will also hear from Sherry Ferguson, Allysa Hallet and Dr. Darren Rebar, who will ask the board to change the county’s fines to reflect the modern currency value.
The meeting is at 9 am in the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
