The Lebo Boys and Girls picked up wins in Hartford Thursday night.
In the girl’s game, Lebo jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they downed Hartford 52-25.
Lebo outscored the Lady Jaguars 15-6 in the first quarter before Hartford would answer back in the second cutting the lead to as little as five at one time. Lebo would take a 21-12 lead into the half and would proceed to outscore Hartford 31-13 in the second half as they picked up their sixth win of the season.
Lebo had three players in double digits as senior Alli Moore, junior Brooklyn Jones and sophomore Audrey Peek all ended the night with 13 points. Head Coach Patrick Gardner says his team has to continue to be “tougher” heading into the second half of the season.
With the win, Lebo improves to 6-0 on the season as Hartford falls to 2-3.
In the boy’s game, Lebo never trailed en-route to a 63-39 win over Hartford.
The Wolves built an early lead in the first outscoring Hartford 21-13 and managed to build the lead to 14 heading into the locker room. In the second half, Lebo would hold Hartford to just 12 points as they rolled on to their fourth win of the season.
Lebo was led in scoring by junior Landon Grimmit with 22 points. Sophomore Grayson Shoemaker would add 17 points on the night.
Head Coach Austin Klumpe says his team came out with a lot of fire defensively.
With the win Lebo improves to 4-2 on the season while Hartford falls to 2-3.
