Homeowners may not be looking forward to Monday.
That’s the deadline for first-half property taxes for Lyon County residents. Lyon County Treasurer Sharon Gaede says residents have several ways to take care of their obligations.
Gaede says there was a lot of foot traffic earlier this month, and residents have also been mailing their payments or handling them online as well.
Residents can have a Monday postmark if they are mailing their payments. Residents going to the Courthouse are advised to bring their statements to speed the process along. Fines are small but do exist for late payments.
