The Emporia High boys and girls wrestling teams go into the Christmas Break after defeating Spring Hill in duels on Senior Night Tuesday night.
The Emporia High boys won their duel 60-18.
Senior David Tucker at 132 pounds was one of 8 Spartans to win by falls.
Senior Jay Orozco at 220 also won by fall.
Isaiah Hernandez at 120 pounds, Lukas Hainline at 126, Xerarch Tungjaroenkul at 152, Braydon Criger at 160, Davian White at 180, and Josiah Bradley at 285 also won by falls.
Braxton Malone at 106 won by an 8-2 decision.
And Bobby Trujillo won his match at 195 pounds by a 9-4 decision.
The Spartans go into the break having finished in 1st place in their last 2 tournaments and winning Tuesdays duel.
The Emporia High girls defeated Spring Hill 39-30.
Senior Madelynn Griffin at 126 won by a fall.
Ariana Estrada at 101 pounds, Katina Keosybounheuang at 120, Brianca Paetridge at 132 also won by falls.
Virginia Munoz at 138 won by an 11-10 decision.
