The annual Kari’s Christmas for Kids fundraiser came to an end Thursday.
Karis owner Kari Calhoun and SOS Director Connie Cahoone drew the name of the lucky contest winner James Zornes live on KVOE 1400 am, 96.9 fm and KVOE.com. Zornes picked up his prize shortly after and says it feels great to win and even better to contribute to a tremendous cause.
This year’s fundraiser raised a grand total of $4,130 to support the children and families of SOS Services this holiday season. Cahoone says the funds come at a great time as requests for their services remain high this year.
Calhoun says they love being able to support SOS with the annual fundraiser each year. She says it’s important for her and her staff to not only be a part of the community but to do all they can to help better it.
For being the lucky winner, Zornes took home a 1-1/4carat total weight diamond ring set in white gold valued at $6,300.
