Active coronavirus cases are back on the rise following a minor decrease in Lyon County Monday.
Wednesday, Lyon County Public Health reported a total of 104 new cases bringing the county’s overall total to 6,700 since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020. 79 recoveries were also reported causing the active case total to rise from 207 to 232 between reporting periods.
Of the active cases, 65 are considered breakthroughs with a collective total of 532 breakthrough cases identified in the county to date.
Deaths were unchanged at 97, however, the number of deaths awaiting final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment increased from one to two. Active hospitalizations meanwhile dipped from seven to four.
