Shiloh Home of Hope is continuing to serve the needs of families and young mothers across the local area and some from across the nation.
During a recent interview on KVOE’s Morning Show, Emporia Rescue Mission Director Lee Alderman spoke on the operations of Shiloh and says they are as busy as ever. Shiloh is a non-profit women’s shelter that focuses on “stabilizing the lives of young women and families.”
Alderman says those services, while located in Emporia, are not limited just to local residents.
In addition to the women that live within the home, Shiloh also operates a pregnancy center within its lower levels to provide essential items and services to mothers including free sonograms once a month, diapers and food. The pregnancy center is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 pm to 4 pm.
If you or someone you know may be looking to enter Shiloh Home’s program, the application process is extensive according to Alderman. He says the main criteria is a willingness to invest at least six months into changing your life and your children’s lives.
