Emporia-based Hopkins Manufacturing is adding to its business portfolio.
Hopkins’ latest acquisition is Lumax LLC. Based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lumax is listed as an industry leader in grease guns, grease fittings, pumps and fluid management. Lumax also manufactures funnels, drains, oil measuring equipment and filter wrenches.
Hopkins says the Lumax purchase strengthens its own leadership spot in fluid management equipment, while Lumax President and CEO Harry Amin says the Hopkins reputation, focus on innovation and existing FloTool product line made for an ideal business move.
This is Hopkins’ 10th business acquisition over the past decade. Hopkins will transfer distribution of Lumax products to a distribution center in Edgerton.
