For the second straight year, plans to help Lyon County residents with income taxes through AARP have fallen victim to COVID-19.
AARP District 25 Coordinator Sally Conard says the organization will not prepare tax returns at the Emporia Senior Center or Emporia State Federal Credit Union, AARP’s longstanding partners in its annual program before COVID entered the picture in March 2020.
