New jail equipment and an electronics contract both came before Lyon County Commissioners for approval Thursday morning.
Commissioners approved the purchase of a new fingerprint scanner for the Lyon County Detention Center. The exact dollar amount for the purchase has not been announced, however, the scanner will be paid for with dollars from the county’s Inmate Welfare Fund.
Commissioners also gave approval for Lyon County Facilities Manager Mark McKenna to sign a service agreement with Tech Electronics for fire alarm monitoring at the Lyon County Annex, in the amount of $949.99.
The Lyon County Commission will reconvene for its weekly action session next Thursday at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
