Coffey County Extension is telling livestock producers to RSVP by Friday for its rescheduled Calving School.
Activities will be Jan. 18 at the Coffey County Fairgrounds Kelly 4-H Building starting at 6 pm. Numerous topics will be addressed, including forage sampling and analysis; partnerships with veterinarians; time management; and membership in the Kansas Livestock Association Coffey County chapter. A demonstration of difficult calving situations will also be done using life-sized models.
The seminar is free. All area livestock producers, 4-H members and others interested in the process are encouraged to attend. Residents can call 620-364-5313 to RSVP for meal planning.
