Emporia State University and Flint Hills Technical College are eyeing the latest COVID-19 spike in cases, and leaders say they can make rapid changes as needed.
At Flint Hills Technical College, there are traditional mitigation methods now in place, especially with mask use, according to President Caron Daugherty. The college is also researching a non-traditional spin on a traditional social distancing policy, as Daugherty highlighted on KVOE’s Tech Talk on Tuesday.
At Emporia State, Interim President Ken Hush says the university will start with mask use in classrooms — at least for now.
Classes have already started at Flint Hills Technical College. Classes at ESU resume Jan. 19.
