The Emporia State men extended their winning streak to 6 in a row with a 74-59 win over Pittsburg State last night.
The Hornets trailed most of the first half but put together a 24-5 run to close out the first half to take a lead they would not give up. Coach Craig Doty liked the run that gave them the lead.
Their biggest lead in the 2nd half was by 20 points.
Jumah’ Ri Turner led the Hornets in scoring with 24 points.
Tray Buchanan added 23 points and Mayoum Buom finished with 12 points. The Emporia State men are now 13-3 and 8-2 in the MIAA.
