This past fall, Greg Kossover and Ken Hush were at the center of the celebration for the Kossover Family Tennis Center. They are once again connected as Emporia State University continues its search for a permanent president.
On Wednesday, the Kansas Board of Regents named Kossover as the chair of the presidential search committee as Hush continues to lead ESU on an interim basis.
Kossover graduated from ESU in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a certified public accountant from Wichita. Both Kossover and Hush also played for the ESU men’s tennis team in the 1980s, and they made the lead gifts for the over $3 million Kossover Family Tennis Complex that had its ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 2.
Named as interim president after previous president Allison Garrett announced her departure to become chancellor and CEO of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education, Hush is leading ESU while the search committee seeks candidates for the permanent president position. Timetables for announcements on candidates and a final selection are pending.
