Planned maintenance is coming for the Lyon County Emergency Communications Center Friday morning.
In a news release Wednesday, LCECC Director Roxanne Van Gundy says the center’s entire call handling system will be down between midnight and 6 am for regularly scheduled maintenance. All 911 and administrative calls will be rerouted through backup multi-line phones throughout that time, however, the multi-line phones will not have the capacity of the traditional call handling system.
As such, residents should be prepared for delays if calls are at a large volume. If you call the 911 or non-emergent line, 620-343-4225, and receive a busy signal please hang up and retry your call.
Text to 911 and advanced mapping services will not be available throughout the duration of the scheduled maintenance. For more information find the Lyon County Emergency Communications Center on Facebook.
