The Emporia High boys basketball team trailed big early and never were able to catch up in an 83-41 loss to Bishop Miege in their opening game of the Ralph Miller Classic Thursday night. Emporia High Coach Beau Welch says they will need to find a way to improve.
River Peters led Emporia High with 18 points.
The Spartans will play Chanute Friday night with tipoff at 7 pm.
Coverage on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM begins at 6:45 pm.
Saturday they will play at 2 pm if they lose Friday’s game and at 4 pm if they win Friday’s game.
