Kansas House 60th District Representative Mark Schreiber is running for re-election.
Schreiber has served the district since 2017 and is seeking his fourth term in office. In several prior elections, he has had a primary challenge from a more conservative opponent. He tells KVOE News his moderate approach works well for the district he represents.
Schreiber currently serves as vice-chair of the House Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications Committee. He’s also on the Education and Judiciary Committees. Before becoming a lawmaker, he was an executive with what’s now known as Evergy.
Also up for election this cycle are 51st District Representative Ron Highland of Wamego and 76th District Representative Eric Smith of Burlington. Neither have filed paperwork with the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office.
