Tentative trial dates are now set for two more defendants in the Jesus Avila murder case.
Following pretrial hearings Friday, Andrew Granado and Jovan Pecina were set for three-week trials, with Aug. 22 as the prime trial date.
Earlier this month, Jordy Cornejo-Campoverde was set for a three-week trial to begin May 2. A two-week trial for Armando Nunez will tentatively start June 13.
Cornejo-Campoverde, Granado and Pecina have been charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated robbery and other counts. Nunez is charged with aggravated robbery, arson, interference with law enforcement and theft.
Another defendant, Alan Alanis, has a hearing at 1 pm Monday. Samuel Garcia, the last defendant to be named, has a hearing Feb. 22.
Avila was shot to death in September 2017. His body was found in a burned-out car a few miles southeast of Emporia.
