(kuathletics) Led by a career-high 37 points from Ochai Agbaji, the Kansas Jayhawks outscored Texas Tech 94-91 in double-overtime last night.
Agbaji’s 37 points mark a new career-high, surpassing his previous high of 29 points against Kansas State. He made the 3 point shot that sent the game to the second overtime.
Agbaji was joined in double-figures by Christian Braun with 15 pts and David McCormack with 13 pts. Jalen Wilson led the way with 11 rebounds.
Kansas improves to 17-2 and 6-1 in the Big 12 this season. They extended their winning streak to 38-straight wins on Big Monday games inside Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks play Kentucky Saturday afternoon.
The Jayhawks are ranked 5th in this Weeks AP and Coaches College Basketball Polls.
Texas Tech is ranked 13th in the AP poll and 14th in the Coaches poll.
Auburn is ranked number 1 and Gonzaga #2 in the AP poll.
In the Coaches poll, Gonzaga is the top-ranked team and Auburn is ranked number 2. Arizona is ranked 3rd and Baylor 4th in both polls.
Iowa State is ranked 23rd in the AP poll and 24th in the Coaches poll.
Texas is ranked 25th in the Coaches poll.
