Trial proceedings for one of the defendants in the 2017 murder of Jesus Avila will continue in March.
A motions hearing for Alan Alanis was continued Wednesday until Mar. 3 inside Lyon County District Court. Wednesday was day three of proceedings to try and certify Alanis as an adult for trial in the Sept. 2017 murder of Avila.

Prior to his hearing in March, Alanis will appear in court for a status conference at 11 am on Monday, Feb. 14.
Alanis is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, arson and other counts in Avila’s death.
