Come this summer, Interim Executive Director of Teaching and Learning Judy Stanley will have a new title.
During the consent agenda portion of the USD 253 Board of Education’s meeting Wednesday, Stanley was promoted to Assistant Superintendent for Teaching, Learning and Student Services on a permanent basis. Stanley has been with the district since August of 1996 during which time she has served in a variety of roles including as a classroom teacher at Walnut and Logan Avenue Elementary and a building principal at both Village Elementary and Maynard Early Childhood Center.
Stanley has served as the Interim Executive Director of Teaching and Learning since July of 2021. She says she is grateful to have been selected for the position and to continue the success she and the teaching and learning department have seen over the past year.
Stanley will assume her new role effective this July. According to a news release from the district, the position comes out of the district’s restructuring efforts which came about following the completion of an administrative efficiency study conducted in cooperation by the district and Kansas Association of School Boards this past December.
