Lyon County’s coronavirus new caseload activity dipped somewhat to close out the final full week of January.
That being said, Friday’s Public Health data report did yield another triple-digit case increase with 121. This follows increases of 187 on Wednesday and 188 on Monday putting the week’s total at just under 500 new cases. That is the lowest weekly caseload increase reported thus far this month and follows a total of just over 800 new cases from last week alone.
The overall total now stands at 9,419 since the start of the pandemic back in March of 2020. For the first time in almost two weeks, no new deaths were reported keeping the county’s death toll at 105 with five cases still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
