The Emporia High girls basketball team will be playing in the Glaciers Edge Tournament Championship game Saturday afternoon.
Last night the Lady Spartans outscored Life Prep Academy 49-42 in the semi-finals. The Emporia High girls closed out the game on a 15-9 run.
Coach Carolyn Dorsey called it a great team effort.
Gracie Gilpin led the offense with 19 points. Rebecca Snyder added 12 and Maddyn Stewart scored a career-high 9 points.
Emporia High will play Great Bend in the Championship game with tipoff set for 2 pm.
The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
Great Bend outscored Wichita Southeast 37-35.

Hutchinson defeated Shawnee Heights 45-28. and Goddard Eisenhower outscored Wichita South 53-47.
Saturdays games begin at 11 am with Wichita South playing Shawnee Heights in the North gym for 7th place. In the 5th place game at 11 am in the main gym Goddard Eisenhower plays Hutchinson.
In the 3rd place game at 12:30 Life Prep plays Wichita Southeast.
