A moderate earthquake in north-central Oklahoma is generating some reports of jostling across the KVOE listening area.
The magnitude 4.6 earthquake was reported around 11:10 am near Medford, Oklahoma, about 150 miles south-southwest of Emporia. Weak shaking was reported in Emporia, Madison and Eureka immediately after the US Geological Survey posted its information online. Reports of weak shaking from other area towns soon followed, including Admire, Allen, Burlington and Council Grove.
No damage or injuries have been reported across the area. Damage and injury reports near the epicenter are pending.
