The Emporia States womens tennis team is in 8th place in the MIAA Coaches preseason poll.
Central Oklahoma is the top pick followed by Washburn, Northwest Missouri State, Missouri Western, Nebraska Kearney, Northeastern State, Newman, Emporia State, and Fort Hays State.
The Lady Hornets return 4 players from last year’s team.
They are scheduled to open their season Saturday when they host Augustana in the Kossover Family Complex.
