The Emporia State baseball team picked up their 2nd win of the season Monday afternoon outscoring Southwestern Oklahoma State 3-2. Javier Pena drove in 2 runs with a double and scored on a ground out in the 5th inning to give the Hornets a 3-1 lead.
Jared Seaton earned the win in relief pitching 4 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits and 7 strikeouts.
Carl Aikman earned the save pitching a scoreless 9th inning.
The Hornets are now 2-0 and will play Oklahoma Baptist Tuesday.
