Lyon County Public Health has begun the week the same way it closed out last week, with double-digit COVID-19 case increases.
Monday’s data report showed an increase of 75 new cases, down slightly from Friday’s report of 85 cases. This put’s the county’s overall total at 9,806 cases since the start of the pandemic back in March of 2020.
Last week’s new caseload total was the lowest of the year thus far with 312 cases reported between Monday and Friday down significantly from the previous week’s total of just under 500.
The county’s death toll remained at 106 cases with six deaths still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
