The first Legislative Dialogue of the year is set for this upcoming weekend.
The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce Government Matters Committee and the League of Women Voters will have the Dialogue on Feb. 12 at Flint Hills Technical College’s main campus, 3301 West 18th. coffee and rolls will be available at 8 am, with local lawmakers beginning their discussions at 8:30 am.
All four lawmakers representing Lyon County — 17th District Senator Jeff Longbine, 60th District House Representative Mark Schreiber, 51st District House Representative Ron Highland and 76th District House Representative Eric Smith — have been invited to attend.
Dialogues are free to attend and the public is encouraged to participate and ask questions of the panel. The event is sponsored by AT&T and Flint Hills Technical College.
