A Lawrence man had apparently serious injuries after a crash in southeast Lyon County on Friday evening.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 7:15 pm on Kansas Highway 130 about a mile south of Neosho Rapids. The driver, 47-year-old Cornelius Tsosie, was southbound when his SUV went off the highway into the southbound ditch. It hit a culvert before stopping.
Tsosie was taken to Newman Regional Health afterward. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Highway Patrol has not said why Tsosie went off the highway.

One person needed medical treatment after a crash in southeast Lyon County on Friday.
Lyon County deputies and Emporia/Lyon County EMS responded to a one-vehicle crash on Kansas Highway 130 just south of Neosho Rapids. The driver was taken to Newman Regional Health for evaluation after the wreck.
