Emporia State baseball team was swept in a doubleheader by Colorado State-Pueblo Friday. Losing the first game 5-0. Pueblo scored all 5 runs in the 2nd inning highlighted by a 3 run homerun. The Hornets had 4 hits and stranded 6 baserunners.
Colorado State-Pueblo won the 2nd game 2-1. They scored single runs in the 2nd and 4th inning. Emporia State scored their lone run in the 7th, Brenden Tauber scored on a Noah Geekie single. The Hornets did strand the tieing and go-ahead run in the bottom of the 7th.
The two teams are scheduled to play a single game Saturday beginning at 1 pm and a single game Sunday beginning at 1 pm.
